All are very pretty. Chicago Girls is my favorite. Quoting Hemingway is beautiful, but I wonder how it will fare for you. Kindred Jewel was beautiful here in it's first year, but this year had only four buds per scape and all the blooms were splotchy. It had been grown in a greenhouse in Michigan.

I am wondering about Quoting Hemmingway, but you bought it local, so keeping my fingers crossed! That one was on my wish list til I started hearing it was "delicate". I always have to think about how to spell Humungousaur, it just looks wrong. Mine out out a scape, but like most of my spring planted daylilies, just dried up. Beautiful.

Laura!! The only thing missing is a series of pictures of your pretty garden all in bloom! I have long admired pictures of Garry Bewcyk. It will be interesting to see if the splotchiness continues. I like Chicago Girls and what an edge on Quoting Hemingway!! Good score!

Regarding Quoting Hemingway, I was hesitant to get it after seeing comments on NGA about how it isn't a good performer in similar zones to me, and that it can be splotchy, etc. I bought it from a place about two hours from me in Ohio (they don't ship, had to pick up) for a good price, so decided to try it here. No greenhouse, garden grown plants. I'm using it's pollen heavily, hope to get seeds. Am trying to set pods on it too. I also bought Master And Bold Ruler, which actually cost more than QH. I absolutely love them both so far. I know the bud counts won't be great, but if the flowers are beautiful half the time, they will both be keepers. Will be interesting to see how they do and if they increase over the next couple of years. I'll add some more QH pics from my phone in a comment here in a little bit. Debra, it's good to know that about Kindred Jewel, thanks for the info on it - I had that on my want list.

I look forward to seeing Chicago Girls after it has settled in here more. I have a few other new Davissons too.

Sherry, yes - all the QH buds have opened well so far... and two of the mornings it was in the 50s. It seems to be a good EMO, they were open when I looked at them at 6-7AM. Thanks for commenting! I got a message from another forum friend who doesn't do FB either, so I will definitely try to do more posting when I have time.

QH is very pretty, Laura and I like Humungousaur really well. Chicago Girls is a lovely bloom.

Garry Bewcyk here is fairly clean this year, in contrast to previous two years. Strange how this varies from year to year. Ring the Bells of Heaven, sometimes splotchy, is putting on a great clean show.

QH makes my heart skip a beat. It's a real beauty. The edge alone is magnificent.........Speaking of edges, Isla Morada is no piker. Beautiful ruffled edge lined with purple................I don't do Facebook either so if there's some you like I hope you will consider posting them here too.........Maryl

Very pretty blooms. I am on Facebook but mainly to connect with family and share what is happening. I also belong to a few sewing groups as well. Houzz and NGA is mainly where I view plant stuff. Everyone is so helpful.

They are all so nice, Laura! I applied to the FB group so I can see more of yours. I doubt I will ever post there as I have enough trouble finding time to post here, let alone anywhere else. I am the NGA but rarely post. I look at some of the flowers from some of the people who post here, both present and past posters.

Thanks everyone! There are so many FB daylily groups, but I really enjoy the four or so that I am in - seeing pictures, seeing questions/answers, etc. And I think it's neat that a lot of hybridizers are on there (some of them big ones, like Karol Emmerich) and in groups, and post pictures and comment as well to try to help people out. If anyone else is on FB and has a favorite daylily group that they would recommend, let me know!

Oh and I tried doing a post on here on last night, in a web browser and then in the app, and got too frustrated and stopped. It is just so easy on FB to post pictures from my phone, you can just go into your photos once and select all the ones you want, you don't have to keep going back in and pick one at a time. I will try posting again here when I have more time - hopefully Friday, since I'm taking that day off work. Have a great day! :)
