Garage cabinet advice

We are planning to put cabinets in our regular 3 car garage. if our cars are in, there is no room for the hinged cabinet door to open, its too tight and hits the car Ive looking at tons of photos and plans and it seems most everyone uses hinged cabinet doors Is it expected to move car out to access inside cabinet? not many sliding door options

Can you put in a shallow, full-height closet with sliding doors? I installed a linen closet with a pair of pocket doors (in my basement).

This is a different solution than your inquiry is seeking but it’s what I have created. Ours is standard 2-car and sheds outside are prohibited My high shelving is hidden via a roller shade leaving space for equipment below.
