Edit to add that we have frameless cabinets….so the top of the tilt out front goes 1/8” from the top of the cabinets. The drawers are the same but since they don’t tilt and just glide on a horizontal axis they are totally fine.

You can see in the photos….if I let it close all the way, when I go to open it, it almost catches on the counter. If I hold my fingers behind it at the top so that it closes ALMOST all the way (and looks closed) it glides back and forth effortlessly. I’m guessing it has something to do with the hinge but I’m not really sure how to fix that.

Dosa Moss, any additional insight? Is it bc it’s frameless?

A full overlay framed with very tight reveals would have the same issue. It’s simple geometry. You cannot stand up a 96” cabinet in a 96” ceilinged room because the diagonal is taller than 96”. Same here. With tight reveals, the diagonal is a further distance than the height, and so scrapes on the counter. A full overlay framed with a more typical top reveal gap of 3/8” doesn’t have issues. Frameless and full overlay framed built to similar tight overlay tolerances, cannot use a tilt out.

It and the doors below are adjustable. Drop 'em both a tad please.

A bit of a bevel on the back top side of the tip out front might give you that bit of clearance you need.

Wizeowl I definitely agree; however, it’s oddly the only lower cabinet on the entire side. The rest of the kitchen is the fridge and dishwasher lol. City living.
