Wouldnt that be something that is built in to the cabinet? I have never had a modern sewing cabinet but had the experience of several from way back when. They were all built with some manner of securing the machine. Mostly they were the kind that swings down.

I would think any lifting mechanism would have come with the cabinet.

but, maybe..............

I did a quick search on sewing cabinets. My goodnes they are expensive!

Lee Valley Tools and Rockler sell the lifts for people building cabinets. I don't know how easy it would be to retrofit them. The lifts are pricey (so I didn't feel as bad paying slightly more for a cheap-looking melamine sewing cabinet with a lift...)

I have several cabinits with the spring lift assist. I think most of them are on my Kenmore machines. They are a big help in easiliy raising an lowering the machine head.
