Moving gradually past peak

Peak is usually about the 11th here, but we have been churning around in quantity. Colors have generally been luscious with the ground moisture, though there are exception in plants affected by spring weather. Some appear to be in decline. We will see what is on my desktop.

Warmer Climes. The picture exaggerates a bit the color contrast. I don't like that it has the upfacing habit of parent Clarity of Vision, but it is colorful.

Redheaded Hussy

Aaron Brown --some scapes short. Aaron Brown has always been inconsistent here, but is a looker.

Purple Lives Matter. Pleased with first blooms. Out of White Eyes.

Native Reflection --can stand some shade.

Lana Ishee --what a screamer she has been this year. So vivid, as are many of the hot colors. Came from Chris years ago, who was gifted with it.

A Heart Apart--taller than expected

Eyes Right Jones --slow grower that looks somewhat like Edge of Your Seat

Change of Heart --always makes a statement in the landscape

Heartbeat of Heaven--very good this year. Some years quite splotchy

Nothing here I don't like. I have always liked Aaron Brown, not sure why I don't have it. Purple Lives Matter is on my wish list, glad to see it here. Heartbeat of Heaven was good here too, the last couple of years it had a different color, sort of murky that I did not like. I like Birthday Wishes, and Painted Desert is very different and eye catching.

Wow, such a lovely clump of Sweet Isabella, I’m hoping mine looks that good at some point. I’m intrigued by Purple Lives Matter, hoping to see more photos of this one. i like the color combination on Painted Desert.

What nice clumps!! Bob Marley and Lana Ishee both appear to be screamers! Sweet Isabela looks wonderful. I agree with Sherry-the color on Painted Desert is striking. I have Blushing Escapade (you know I do like pinks!!) but I think mine looks darker. I will check but it is a wonderful plant. I am glad you finally have a season with good moisture for a change.

Warmer Climes looks great, and I love upfacing blooms. There are so few of them. Blushing Escapade is beautiful. What do you mean no one likes pinks anymore? Pinks are still my very favorites. A Heart Apart and Sweet Isabela are a shade of pink I particularly like. That clump of Bob Marley cannot be overlooked. The rest are all striking in their own ways.

I've tried to get A Heart Apart for a couple of years now. Couldn't find it from a rust free source. Do the scapes need staking?.........I like those screamers, so Lana Ishee always calls my name.....I still like pink, so Blushing Escape is very pretty to me. Trouble is that there are so many paler pinks out there that I need to limit myself. How many pale pinks can one have in a small collection?..............Maryl

Beautiful group, I like them all, esp Sweet Isabela and all the red with watermarks - Aaron Brown, Change of Heart and Bright Haven. My Heartbeat of Heaven has a few splotchy blooms, mostly clean, but it is dark like yours this year!

A Heart Apart is growing in a pot, but I wouldn't know why it would need staking. Don't think J. Davisson would introduce anything like that. It is less popular than her UFs.

An exceptional bunch, Mantis! My fav of these is Purple Lives Matter, Also outstanding, A Heart Apart, Lana Ishee, Sweet Isabella, and A Change of Heaert.
