Thanks. And yes we do desperately need landscaping. The house needs painted too, last owners didn't do very much exterior upkeep for many years, they were older and both ill. Gutters, siding, etc needs repair and paint.

Aside from the paint job I think some additional lights would really help. Add sconces around the garage and ground lights (solar?) near the right window and along the courtyard path.

Paint the siding, vertical batten boards and brick the same color. You might consider just keeping the top trim around the windows and garage white. Keep the landscaping simple -- find some plants native to your area that have the size and shape you need with year-round greenery. Something like this.

I like the idea of the brick painted to match the house. I would keep it gray, but, a shade or two lighter than what you have now. I also agree, that the landscaping needs a lot of work.

White on white would look very nice. I agree on adding lighting and landscaping.
I may also do a wood garage door. What color is the front door? If you can match it to the wood too. Awesome house!!

These are great suggestions! Love the paint ideas, lighting and landscaping. The windows in black? We have white windows on order, should I/can I paint them black? Casement windows for the front and double hung the rest of the way around the house, with white patio slider door.

We bought a fixer upper and did the inside first. New kichen, bathrooms, wood floors, paint, everything top to bottom. Last thing to do is exterior and I just got stuck.

I think the white casement windows will look fine with white accent trim, and painting windows is a tough job from what I have read with results not always guaranteed. An electrician will be able to wire and install the new lighting. You might also look into smart light switches for them while you’re at it, so they can shut off in the evening. Whatever you do will be a big improvement, would love if you can update the thread with after photos.
