swimming pool plaster color question

We are about to have a swimming pool built in Texas, and like most people who initially struggle with plaster color, we are also struggling with the decision, but for different reasons. Our initial plan was to go with Tahoe blue pebble tec, or blue granite pebble sheen; however for the first time ever, we found a dead scorpion in our garage and a few days later we found another one actually in our house that immediately died of unnatural causes.

I also recently read that scorpions do occasionally fall into swimming pools and survive for a period.

Now, we are concerned that with a darker color plaster we may not be able to see if a scorpion is in the pool before we take a dip.

Has anyone had a problem with scorpions falling into their pools, and if so, does a darker pebble tec color make them difficult to spot? Is it best to go with a lighter color plaster such as white diamonds or arctic white etc?
