Bedroom decor ideas

Hello! We are looking to refresh the decor in our bedroom as its very bland and was hoping for some inspiration.

I’d really like to keep the ’core‘ furniture - the bed, side tables, wardrobes and drawers but totally open to changing everything else. The furniture is cream which means I’m already stuck as to which colours would work well with it 😩

Thank you!

I would suggest a patterned roman blind for the window and then choose a colour from that for the walls and maybe the ceiling as well. You can then accessorise with another colour from the blind.

Thank you! and in terms of colour on the walls, should I paint all of the walls in the same colour? Or just a "feature" wall?

Another option before going the whole hog and painting would be to see how a new colorful bed set works. As others have suggested, select color (it could be from a spread or blind) to take into a blind, drapes, rugs or throws. Don't forget you could also change the lamp shades. The cream actually gives you a warm and neutral background to work with so you could go for pastels, or go really bright zingy colors, or really strong deep colors.
For some reason I am feeling a zingy lime or apple green in your room. No - lime is too bright, it's apple green that is singing to me! 🌝 A couole of ideas with white walls, others with wall color - one more muted tjan the other.

I think you’ve got the bones of a lovely bedroom. Personally I would paint all the walls not a statement wall. The colour would depend on your room orientation and preference but just think if your room faces west it get warm evening light so anything red toned will be more red and anything facing east will get blue morning light so blues and blue greens can look extra cold. Get lots of samples paint big squares across a visible corner and your main focal point.

I would also change the mirror add a slim shelf or fireplace surround underneath. Add some art above the bed and update your ceiling light and bedside lights. If you post some images that help represent your style the kind people on here could help suggest some items.

Your bedroom has a lovely country vibe. Depending how much light it gets, I think F&B Cromarty or Mizzle would look lovely, both soft grey-greens. Dulux Tranquil Dawn is a very similar shade. With paler shades I would do the whole room in one colour. I agree that blue would also look good. The first pic below is Mizzle, the next is Oval Room Blue and the last is Blue Green , all by Farrow & Ball.

Thanks all - this is all super helpful. I am loving the sage greens so I think I'll get some paint samples. I'd love to get a statement light :) I think the vibe I would be going for is modern country bedroom...but not too "country" that makes any sense at all so plenty of modern accessories.

How about an oversized mirror where the current one is? It would make a statement, make the room look bigger and be functional.
