Plant 2 varieties together?

I have just acquired 2 Hoya (fungii and krimson queen) and wondered if I could plant them in the same pot? If so, do I wait until winter? Neither are in great shape and are wrapped loosely round old ugly frames so would like to report and revive them. Thanks
