Matchy bedroom lamps or no?

I recently redecorated a tiny guest bedroom and am happy with the results. However, a friend said the 2 lamps should match since the room is so small. One is on a bedside table, the other on a dresser. They are both brushed nickel and the shades match, but I thought a taller lamp would look better beside the tall dresser mirror. Now I’m not sure. Your thoughts? If

they should be the same, which one?

They are so similar I wouldn't sweat it too much. That said, I think you might do better with ceramic style lamps, instead. They would be charming in that room. Something like these:

I think they're close enough not to worry about. Do look a little small, but unless your visitors stay for months at a time, not an issue really.

Your friend is wrong. You aren't using them as book ends--same same on either side of the bed. In this situation they should NOT be matched.

I agree they don't have to match - however, the ones you have seem a bit petite for the room and furnishings. I like the idea of ceramic bases to add some weight.
