its in shock and stressed.. fert is not a response to such ....

water properly.. and give it lots of time... to see what happens.. there is nothing you can do to make that happen faster ... yo may not know anything further for 6 or 8 more weeks ....

where are you... big city name.. is it in sun ... if so.. may you could shade it somehow?? .. does that wall get hot in the sun???

The gray stuff is water Crystal gels ,I'm in memphis,tn it averaging around 95 degrees but lately been around 98. The wall dosent get hot, my other azaleas do get a little burnt from the sun but they are green and healthy. I water usually 3 times a week they get about 3 to 6 gallons of water in well drain soil. It gets morning sun and afternoon shade.

Nope they just on the surface

Won't do much good on the surface.

Those crystals won't help on the surface where there are no roots. I've used them in containers for plants, not in several years.

All you can do for the herbicide damage is wait once past that brief window where copiously rinsing off the plant may have helped. See what happens. Fertlizer can only correct a nutrient deficiency and nothing else. It will not help it recover from an herbicide.
