Do you mean Allium sativum the edible garlic or Allium tuberosum, garlic chives?

It has beautiful small lavenders balls that bloom. ill try and get the actual plant name.

Sounds like chives, Allium schoenoprasum.

Hey....there is this nifty interest feature called a Google search :-) That will quickly tell you the difference between the two. One is an ornamental grown specifically for its flowers; the other is grown for its edible bulb. The flowers of both look quite similar but they are two different plants.

FWIW, all members of the Allium family are edible but the ornamental types tend not taste good and are not usually grown to be eaten.

The label is wrong. it is an onion, not a garlic.

But it smells just like garlic when I planted it.. Ill go get an actial pic of it in the ground.

Of course they do, they're both in the allium family.
