Tide F&G liquid and Tide F&G liquid with Downy do not have OBs. Also Tide purclean is plant-based and does not contain OBs.

I have never been impressed with Biokleen liquid. Their premium powder is ok. They don’t have OBs in any of their formulas.

Thank you littlegreeny and dadoes! The links to the smart labels are really helpful. I think I'll pick up the Tide F&C on my next grocery run and give it a try. I looked for the PurClean and they don't carry it.

Oooh, the Tide F&G powder looks good, too. I've been using the 7th Gen powder and haven't been thrilled with it either, but it's even harder to find a good non-fragranced, non-OB powder.

Yes, you're right, they do contain the OBs. Drat! I picked up the liquid Tide F&C yesterday, only ran one load with it, so too early to comment whether I like it. I think I'll try the BioKleen next if the Tide doesn't do it for me (or they decide to change all of a sudden and put OBs in there).

I tried the BioKleen detergents several years ago, after getting our FL washer and people here talked liking it.. It must not agree with our local water supply because the powder always left my clothes a bit "crunchy" so apparently it did not rinse out well. I used it up and did not buy any more.

Looks like the liquid Tide F&C has only 3 enzymes while the liquid Tide F&C with Downy has 4.

and the "With Downey" version doesn't have any Downey in it, which makes such perfect sense.

"with Downy" likely is a reference to scent. Fabric softener is incompatible with detergent unless it's a specially-formulated product such as was Rain Barrel.
