Should console/mirror be centered on wall or aligned with hallway?

Should my entryway table and mirror above be centered on the entryway wall, or should they be aligned/centered with the front door/entryway hall? The wall is as wide as the door/entry hall, plus the staircase. I prefer to do a large console table with a mirror centered on the wall, but my other half wants to only use about half of the wall with a smaller table so that the mirror is centered when you walk into the house. He thinks a mirror will look weird being somewhat in front of the handrail. We're definitely going to put a mirror above the table. The house is under construction so a bit of a disaster. I have attached photos of the wall from all possible angles to help!

Center your entry table on the wall. I don't think if do a mirror because I don’t see anything that would make an attractive reflection. I’d do a wow-factor wallpaper or art in this space.

Mirror opposite the front door really isn't a nice thing. You walk into glare. If you want it, how about a table that spans nearly the width of the wall, place the mirror on the side facing the front door, and put something on the other side of the table - tall vase, books, etc?

You need to get something shallow. You could put a mirror on the wall next to the front door for a last minute check when going out. I would put an attractive piece of art over the console.
