I used one of those large zip up binders with sheet protectors to place all documentation in them. Tabbed for different categories. I was able to slip in my folded up full size plans in the front and also my laptop. The binders have a strap so you can carry over your shoulder.

Also used those zip up pouches when I was researching a product to keep all information together. Different zip up pouches of active research were all placed in one tote bag, which could also fit some samples.

Also uploaded all files and photographs to MS One Drive so I could see them at home, on my laptop/tablet and on my phone. Get a data plan for your tablet/laptop as it is much easier to see the larger screen than on a small phone screen.

When heading out to the site or a vendor showroom, all I had to pick up was the binder and tote bag.
