Ok, if you haven’t already, search things like, ’1960’s carpet’ … ’retro carpet’ … ’1960’s paneled rooms’ … retro basements’ … etc. You’ll see so many great pictures, including neat old ads with pictures of these things.

And you HAVE to update us, can’t wait to see what you decide!

Re the carpet, for 1960s vibe, you should install either avocado green or orange shag. :)

Thanks Jinx!! I will look through some photos. I'm hoping to choose something that suits the era, but is a slightly modernized take on it (ie. No shag lol). I actually like the look of shag, but I can't get behind how much of a dust trap it would be.

I will update once we make a final decision!

Avocado green and orange/gold were heavily used colors in the 60s. They're colors that could look gorgeous with that paneling, if you're going for a 60s vibe. I can see not wanting shag though. lol!
