A curtain headboard could be sweet with that bed.

Can you paint? You definitely need a large area rug because neither the wall color nor the bed complement the greige carpet.

You should also get rid of the dark blinds and get some curtains for the windows on either side of the bed.

The room is great, and so's the bed. Think Anthropolgie for the slightly punk, bold look you want. You can sometimes find great Anthro bedding on Ebay and Etsy. Multiple ways to go:

White walls, (white Roman shades for little windows) great black and white art, bold throw on bed with a little taupe thrown in to echo the rug, white bedding. Find thrifted nightstands and paint them white or some great color.

If you find great curtains (not necessarily at Anthrpologie since they're pretty pricey--again check Ebay), get multiple panels, sew them together, and run a long rod across the wall with the two little windows. Push curtains to the side during the day and at night draw them across the wall. White filmy curtains for the long window.

The thing to keep in mind is the bed is the star of the room, so don't have too many over-the-top other elements. Also, it's important for a bedroom to feel restful. Use art work, not wall paint, to add drama and your own taste to the beroom.

Art work in this palette for over the bed. This isn't Etsy, but you might be able to find a horizonal abstract print in the bold colors you like. If you do, then walls should be a soft white at the taupe end of the paint deck so that it works with rug and your current bedding--curtains in same white so that bed, art, and throw stand out.

I think you might want to lean into boho!

That bed begs for Boho, but I want to pair it with lots of vivid color.

Don't know if it's punk enough, but i love Marimekko fabrics and they're definitely 70's.

Add a punked up Union Jack flag, lots of colors out there.

Lots of punk inspired prints or paintings depending on budget

I do not like bare windows and walls.

So many great ideas here, and what a fun room to decorate! The Etsy throw that @housegal200 posted would be perfect with white/cream bedding and a few colorful pillows.

I'm not sure what "punk it up" means for you but I'd want to layer more elements in the room. The wall colour and carpet don't work imo. The headboard pillows would inspire my colour palette. Teals, oranges, golds (but not beige), purples...add some dusky colours to play with the clear hot pink of the bed frame. Thinking Boho/Moroccan decor. One option: a shade or two deeper than the nightstand colour on the walls, a gold or mustard bedspread, large area rugs to cover the carpet. Perhaps a simple bed canopy...? If you have a green thumb: lots of greenery.

Suggesting looking at boho bedrooms to get an overall sense on the direction you want to go, color and accessory wise. If bed would work on long wall, I’d paint that wall a deep jewel tone (duplicate color in bedding) and add art, etc. above.

Then I’d move the dresser (add a mirror) between the windows, add blinds and a large plant. You could also create a sitting area where dresser was.

If keeping bed on wall with windows, create a well balanced wall and one way is with sheers across the whole wall. Idea below is really attractive with the branches and lights.

Bedding will have a major influence and will unite the room.

As usual the folks here have give you some awesome inspiration photos and ideas. Since you bed is a bold, vibrant color I would recommend that you play it up with other bold colors - some that coordinate and some that contrast. Blues and green would be a great foil for the bed. Would recommend funky, kitchy furniture, artwork and decor. Good luck!

I would had some architectural details like panel moulding to balance the vibe you have going with your bed (love it and I usually don't like pink in general). It's a big space and a tone on tone application of panel moulding in a light colour with punches of colour and pattern (mix up size of pattern for interest but keep it in the same colour family to keep it from being too busy).

Jewel tones are really fun to play with because you can go wild or customize to your personality an taste. I got the "not a girly, girl" reference so bring in black, not too much but a small amount will ground the space, balance out the girlishness of the pink and still feel light, lux and like you.

Any search with jewel tones and neutral rooms can give you ideas of how to work with the pink.

Grey pink and white with a hint of black. Your linens can be added to the pink bed and introduce texture and pattern.

Neutral walls keep it light and give you the latitude with patters. Moulding and trimwork add to the luxurious feeling of the room.

You can double down on the pink paint or wallpaper a matching wall behind the head of the bed and then add an all white furnishings and art to balance to the bed. The rest of the walls should be neutral though.

Your rug is a dark neutral but you can layer another rug at the foot of the bed, maybe include a bench in wood. Neutral colour of the rug can work with the pink.

You have so much space, which is a challenge depending on your budget but get a colour palette and design style confirmed and then spend time building the room out. The bed is a great starting point, it is definitely a statement piece.
