Interesting. Location? The Atreano don't look ripe on the outside to my fig-deficient experience.

This season VdB,Hardy Chicago have tasted waiting on Noire De Barbentane to ripen and will try and take pictures when they do.

New replacement plants any figs were taken off except left 2 or 3 on cravens plant but they may not ripen in time this season.

Atreano figs are dead ripe, if you enlarge the image you can see how wrinkled ripe they are, the green tone is because of the angle and florescent lighting in my kitchen.

My growing zone is 6, I live in Penticton BC Canada.

a few bites from the long-neglected fig tree on site (Kadota?): not productive of a crop but nicely sweet.

I have an Atreano and I did get one to ripen the size of a golf ball. My God. So sweet!!! I have a few others the size of marbles. I hope they make it before it gets cold here.

Is your planted in the ground? Do you protect it?

LOVE LOVE LOVE the flavor of this fruit. I am going to get more trees.
