I am an old soul and live in a 1950s ranch. I have saved my pink bathroom and I am saving the yellow formica. Call me crazy! I actually like the backsplash too..the cabinet color is just off or something. My house is mainly deep rich mid mod colors and cabinets looks out of place. The kitchen walls are Muslin by SW and I love the color. The adjacent room is naval if that helps and the other room is soft fawn. Yes..u have kept the original foot print of the home as well. I love walls.
