Germinating Longon from seeds question?

I’m trying growing Longon from seed to see if I will have some luck. My dilemma is trying to decide if I should soak the seeds before planting them in the soil to help with fast germination? Will the seeds still spout just as well without soaking?
Suggestions anyone?
