No I could lose the blinds. Think that would help make it less busy?

Paint a dove gray, white trim. Remove everything from dining table. Not meant to hold framed pictures. Remove tall lamps on chest. No fake flowers. Place candles on chest. Don't Stage table. On windows, roman shades. In a small print. Red, gray cream. Or something like your pillows in post. Is that a area rug? If so replace with red Persian print. 8 x10 or bigger.

What is chest holding jars? Not needed to much for this size rm. I like tall wing back fabric chairs at end of table. Red velvet would add color and update room.

Hello....you have a lot of lovely pieces and are off to a good start! I would start by removing the wine fridge from the space..I also feel that the table needs to be turned and parallel to the buffet, and ideally all the chairs should be placed around the table...if it's a space issue than I would place the other chair that you currently have by the window on the other side of the buffet for balance. I would paint the lower half (under the wainscotting) a soft white. I'd add panels to the windows that would bring in the red and gold tone of the rug (although a persian in this space would be spectacular). I'd also suggest changing the fabric on the chair seats to complement what you have going on with the window (for example floral pattern on the windows....stripes on the seats or vice versa). Id' also remove the family pictures, place settings and floral arrangement.

First, you need to take into consideration if these windows face the front of the house. If so, all of the window treatments should look the same for consistency. If you remove the blinds in this room and it faces the front of thehouse, it would look funny unless u remove all of the blinds in the other windows.
It looks like, from the photos, that u already have some metal tie backs installed on each side of the
windows so this makes me think the window treatments were originally panels pulled back behind these
Again, one must remember that if this room is on the front of the house, the style should be the same
as close as possible across the front.
I wouldn't choose a fabric for the windows yet. I would actually start over by buying a beautiful
Oriental rug then I would choose fabrics based on this rug for the seat cushions (inexpensive update) & window treatments
I agree with other commenters about removing wine fridge, removing photos on table, no staging (plates.etc)
use one centerpiece (no fake flowers or big candles). Just an idea to keep it classy.
