Best grass for driveway

This may seem like a weird question, but my gravel driveway seems to sprout grass. Removing it is difficult (without chemicals) and not even necessary, so I've decided to "make lemonade" out of this and plant more, but what's the most durable with minimum maintenance? Zone 4.

Depends on where you live and the condition of your driveway (is it gravel or is it regular soil?).

Northern NY, Zone 4 (Champlain Valley); gravel with a lot of sand between the rock pieces.

Possibly the most durable would be creeping bentgrass. It forms a very low growing, dense mat of grass. It can be invasive to fescue, rye, and even Kentucky bluegrass.
