I think its actually Asclepias speciosa instead. Asclepias syriaca has rounder greener foliage and Portland doesnt usually have it available in nurseries.

This species has a weird distribution. How big can syriaca grow in Oregon? It can reach about 8' here in the midwest. I think ours are bigger.

Hm, I think that OR dot is a brand new one. It didnt used to be there. it gets big here too. Nevet seen it 8ft tall, but there arent that many here. Speciosa occasionally gets to 5 ft.

Here’s a patch of syriaca i planted at a local butterfly garden. They ended up at about 6ft tall.
