Something quite similar happened to us. The AC was working but the fan wouldn’t shut off. We had to shut the whole thing off at the electrical panel. Turns out a component had “frozen”. Luckily the AC tech had a replacement unit in the truck and he replaced it. We no longer have that unit, so I can’t give you specific names or even use technical terms. I was just afraid that it might start a fire, so we would cool the house down before we went to bed, and the shut it off at the panel. Good luck.

Sound me like you done gone wired motor up wrong. There's a diagram somewhere on unit,look at that and start over.

Check all of your thermostats to be sure that none of tham have had the fan switched from "auto" to "on".
