You would do best checking the Delta Bluegrass website, as they offer various types of CA native grasses or grass blends and with varying degrees of drought tolerance.

I would also suggest asking in the Lawn Care and Landscape Designer fora if anyone near you geographically has tried it. Some of the native grasses can be tricky, I hear. (That doesn't mean you shouldn't try it, but based on what you hear, you might want to start with a small patch.) Btw, whereabouts are you located? And maybe you can find some to visit in person.

Delta Bluegrass is the name of the company, not a variety of grass. They offer a variety of grasses which may be appropriate for different microclimates - coastal vs. inland.
