Now, I really don’t much expect Rambutan, Lychee, Longon or any other tropical fruits to come true from seed. I have the patience to watch the seedlings develop the growth and waiting for the brown thumb to eventually turn green at least I hope so.

Rambutan is supposedly just a little more tropical than lychee. Lychee can take zone 10a, maybe 9b, but rambutan can only take zone 10b.

For species that have three genders, a pure female that produces seed is not going to produce a pure male.

socal, my understanding is when a female produces fruit, the seeds in the fruit can result in plants of any gender. Otherwise, it would never be able to reproduce. If you plant the seeds of a papaya (obviously from a female or hermaphroditic plant), you can get males, females or hermaphroditic plants.

Probably not until they bloom. Many years from now!
