What about a built-in cabinet/bookcase in which you can put the tv?

I was thinking that too! Would it be weird that the tv is to the far left and not central? Ideally the tv is above the fireplace but we would need to run a wire...:/

I like it even better NOT over the fireplace. i cannot tell the size of the entire space but I would consider a built-in with tv and then if space allows, a small sitting are near fireplace.
