IMO a mess and what kind of schluter is that?

That's a hot mess. First thing that comes to mind when looking at that is what the substrate prep behind it looks like.

@millworkman thats what i thought but didnt know if i was just being picky. it seems like the tile guy my GC hired is not a real pro and just someone hired on the cheap. our contractor had GoBoards installed and i know the seams were taped and waterproofed before the tile guy came.

Tough to work with "rustic Tiles, should maybe try to see if the tile company has bull nose tiles or coping, the pairing of slick schluter edges to the handmde tiles is just not right.

The edge of my tiles has no shluter, just paint. It looks ok. An option if you are looking for a a quicker cheaper solution.

Unacceptable bad job. Wrong schleuter. If all was prepped properly before installation, an amateur was hired to do the tiling.

There is no way that grout is going to make this look good….

The protruding tiles could have been easily addressed during installation. Simply reduce the tile thickness with a wet saw or angle grinder. This could still be done provided care is taken with niche waterproofing during removal of the existing tile. The majority of the field tile installation is not bad considering the scalloped edge material that was selected. I see nothing in your photos that indicate a rip out and redo. I can't speak for what is not seen.

Do you have pics before the tile went up? Grout will help some, but if the prep was done poorly it’s a definite tear out and re-do.

This is my first time posting on here and you all have been so helpful. here is a before pic i snapped about a week before tile went in, i know work was done to the shower floor after this picture but im not sure if there was additional waterproofing done to the walls after this picture.
