Fireplace Redesign HELP!

We started a fireplace addition in our new home, ordered a right corner gas

fireplace unit and the limestone hearth slab and now are second guessing the design and fireplace face material. Our style is clean and simple, mid-century modern?, scandinavian? we want the focus to be on the view of the lake. When the unit sits on the slab, the viewing window is 11 inches up. (We were sent the wrong framing measurements and our original design had the unit sitting closer to the hearth), another cause for our confusion. Any assistance would be so welcome.

Sorry I don't understand the reason for the FP at all since usually they are the focal point in a spce and you have a view for your focal point. I would like to see the whole space to understand the FP at all

It gets really cold in the Moses Lake, WA winters, we want to cozy up to a fireplace while watching the winter wildlife we enjoy.

Moses Lake is a place with very few contractors and designers. Especially with the pandemic slowdowns, things are in a state of half done. Here are few more photos.

    A few more photos.

The white oak flooring will be throughout the space. The kitchen will have white quartz countertops and the square tiles in the photo below. The other tiles are for the laundry room and powder room. The stove will be replaced by an induction cooktop and oven. The only furniture that will stay will be the sectional and the dining room cabinet.

Would love your input, thanks so much for responding!

Not a pro but I think it'll be fine. Your windows are expansive and you show your fireplace off to the left corner.

Again, not a pro, but I'd move the dining room cabinet to the opposite corner and angle it. It looks a bit smushed against that wall. I like your material choices. Very nice place!

Any suggestions for the face of the fireplace? Plaster? Stone? Tile?

Originally we were going to use the same limestone as the hearth in 20" x 60" slabs going up the wall, but now that the hearth is in, we think it will be blah.

I'm concerned with the unit being 11 inches above the raised hearth, I don't find photos of that. What do you think?

Thanks so much for your response!

So many choices?! What do you think of this one?

The installation will be a bit tricky as the fireplace unit extends 2 inches beyond the side corner. It will need to merge into the angled wall on the left. The hearth then extends 4 inches beyond the face materials.

Yes, too many choices! Thus the confusion! We are not putting a tv above the fireplace.

I was hoping that the cabinet would look right there. If it is put on the left, it would cover some of the left window. We went from a much larger home to this, so storage is at a premium. We use it to store games and puzzles for the cold winters! The kitchen island we just added.

Maybe just kitty corner the cabinet where it is and step back to see if you like it better. Just a suggestion.  It's a nice, functional piece.

    Excellent, I’ll try it

I like your row boats. Will you be using them? If so have you thought about placement?

I won’t be using it in the living room.

I like the one with the cubby and the shelves idea too. How would it look if you ran the shelves from the slanted wall into the fireplace surround?
