2. My island is close to yours in size and my pendants are large. 3 would have been way too much.

Whats confusing to me is the concept of large vs medium. Clearly, 20+” inches is a large lamp, but isnt 12-18” a medium lamp? Would you mind sharing the size of your pendants? I’ve never had an island this big so i am off on my perspective.

Is 16 wide the widest part of pendant? Is island in yet? You could mock up the size and see what you think… Not an expert here by any means. That is a big island so you may be able to pull off three…

Yes. 15.75” (16) is the widest part of the lamp. And no island, yet just framing. My concern is that i will have to commit to 2 or 3 lights over a nonexistant island during an electrical walkthrough, soon.

Jim, my pendants are 15" wide and approx 20" tall. I have a 10' ceiling and about 20x22 kitchen. BUT my pendants are black.

Also, make sure that you have some cans planned for lighting your island also. Pendants usually don't provide enough light for reading etc.

That us a great looking kitchen. And I can certainly imagine a third. It would create a different look but in your case, with the windows, probably not the look you would want. My lights will be in front of cabinets and hood.

There IS a sink in the island and that gives me something very objective to consider. Thank you.

I did 3 of those pendants over a 12’ island with a 12’ ceiling.. They are not installed yet and our cabinets just went in. I dont think they will look huge but my scale is a bit larger than yours. They are beautiful pendants and because they are glass, they dont take up as much visual space as other pendants can. good luck, its a long haul.

Thanks! They are a custom stain on rift cut white oak. Island is a dark brown and perimeter is sort of taupe. dont want to hijack your thread though.
