Hi Lana,

given the very modern style of your kitchen, I would place a single painting, in the center of the space you have, to achieve a result similar to this:

I would plan, therefore, for a rectangular painting aligned with the upper limit of the kitchen, centered on the wall.

One large piece of art

Or

Wallpaper

Or

Backsplash

....

Gorgeous space!!!

Only one painting!

Some general scale and placement ideas:

Just a few of so many possibilities! Find things you love looking at and arrange them however is pleasing to you. :)

I'd do one large, modern painting but larger than than what Jinx has shown.

I don’t like how one large piece looks as much, but maybe the OP does. I know it’s a popular look.

Here are a couple of examples:

If the OP finds something they really love, then I’d do it. And, we’re just seeing this one side of the kitchen — maybe one large piece would look best in the entire context, or not, I don’t know.

I like the idea of one large piece, but I think it would look best with bold colors and shapes.

I also like the one large piece. The last photo looks great I think.

That corner is crying out for a beautiful potted plant. The kitchen is lovely but is lacking life that art isn’t going to change.

Large modern abstract art

maybe change out runner something little more colorful but not matchy with art

Wow! Thanks everyone for all the feedback. I found two pieces I liked but I think I’m leaning towards one large piece like most of you suggested. Agree that the space needs life too so I’m planning to add plants also. Thanks!

i just posted a similar question about Art in my Bathroom and would love all of your feedback there too! https://www.houzz.com/discussions/6191394/art-in-bathroom

thanks!

i just wanted to give you very big contrast to open up some ideas.

More wide than tall would look better there.

Hopefully you're going with actual art and not signs.

Everybody seems to be decorating with signs nowadays.

What's up with that?
