You know what? I never got a name for it. It came from a Doctor I think from Switzerland or Germany and I have had it for over 25 years!! The mother plant is setting buds and I have yet to trim that thing. It's huge I almost donated it to my local nursery for Bonsai. It's now too big to set anywhere in my own home)

I have Lemon n lime - supposedly it's Akai...it bloomed so far 3 yrs in a row. Had similar coloring during summer - but not sure if it is the same plant...collage shows same plant more green & in good sunlight, much more colorful:

Rina. I am going to send you a cutting of the one Rob posted. I know how you are with jades and this one is a rarity. NO one has ever seen it sold anywhere back when I posted about it and no one knew what to name it.

The Maruba, if you expose it to cold temps at night, an area where it will get good sun my day, and natural light, it will bloom for you) The mother pant has a few times)

TY very much for the offer! I know that you have been very generous with that one, & many ppl here got cuttings from you. I'll be happy to buy cutting from you! Let me know if you still have my address (I have moved few yrs ago, & not sure you have curent addy). Maruba has grown some from the size it was. I try to leave all my jades in conditions you mentioned, and many bloom...My Ladyfinger/Skinny fingers and Green/Red horn trees didn't bloom yet, but I think they don't get as much cool as some others.

Rina, nothing better than Jades I think. Seems no matter what I collect, jades will always have that right up there place in my heart. They are just so majestic. My Red Horn has bloomed too for me. I keep mines under cold conditions at night and very warm by day up against my house in sun. I only bring it in when it is going to frost. The colors get more dramatic too as you know) That is the fun part about these pants

Mike, I think we've just been calling it variegated Jade for all this time. It's quite similar to Lancaster, too. Both this jade and the Lancaster cuttings I got from you are very reliable bloomers for me. Both are currently setting buds.

I also have 3 Denethors that are setting buds, Mike.

I have a Blue Hale setting buds, a Coral (Skinny Fingers) budding, and 3 Pink Beauties setting buds. This particular Pink Beauty is my best bloomer so far, opening its first flowers today.

Mike, have you ever posted a picture of the mother plant? I wasn’t aware it was that big.

Rina, I’ve never had a skinny ginger bloom. That’s one of the things that frustrates me with Jades. I see Greenman having all his trees bloom, but I usually only have 1 or 2 that bloom each year.

Greenman, clearly that California climate is helping. I’m always envious of how you can grow them.

Rob, as they say , "location", "location", "location"...I wish too.

It seems that I think Josh has a much more stronger sunlight than we do this time of the year but also cool temps. If the sun angle was like it is in September around here mix with cooler temps, I think all our jades would bloom. It really stinks.

I keep them outside until they almost croak from really cold temps and still not that much.

The mother plant I keep across the street in the shop in very full sun that gets hot by day even now and very cool at night flowers every year!! Maybe that is where I should store all my jades for a flower show)

Josh, even my family over here is drooling over those jades you have there. My mother could not believe how beautiful the flowers are. You have a gift buddy and I thank you for the follow up along with Rob. It's good to see some of the updates of jades I had sent out years ago. I appreciate it so much.

Yep. It’s alway the location And you and I aren’t in a great one for succulents. We’ve had a lot of rain with lows in the low 40s so I brought my plants in.

Josh’s plants are amazing.

This is quite an exceptional year, I assure you! I think I have 9 or 10 Jades blooming, but usually it's just 2 or 3. I was really hoping that my Hobbit or my Crosby's Compact would bloom again this year, but nothing showing yet.

All my Jades are indoors/greenhoused now, but I did let them get down to 35F for a few nights. Then we had heavy rains, 9.5 inches in 24 hours, so they were absolutely soaked! Then the weather turned cool, and I didn't want to risk them being cold and wet. Now I get to enjoy them indoors!

Mike, I'm glad you didn't end up selling or giving away your massive mother Jade. It's an incredible specimen, probably the largest of its kind.
