According to CR's reliability rankings, Jenn-Air built-in refrigerators may be more reliable than Miele's (hover you mouse over the Refrigerator icons). But Bosch built-ins did as well so you might want to consider the Bosch Benchmark B36IT905NP too.

Thanks Dan, that is effectively what we did. Went with the Thermador, which I think is basically the same fridge as the MasterCool.

I understand they are different companies, but I think they are manufactured together, so share a lot of the same features.

Note that the follow three refrigerators are identical except that the T36IT905NP is gray inside:

• Thermador T36IT903NP ($7000)
• Thermador T36IT905NP ($8300
• Bosch Benchmark B36IT905NP ($7400)

Thermador is a Bosch brand.

Thanks a lot wdccruise. It did take some detective work figuring out the model numbers, as the Thermador website isn't all that helpful for comparing models.

We are going with the T36IT905NP, primarily because I do feel like the SS interior creates a "wow" factor when you open the fridge. Silly thing to pay $1,300 for vs the 903, but we're already in ridiculous territory for a fridge lol. Also, the soft-close doors on the 905 are nice, which I don't believe the Bosch or the 903 have?

From reading the Thermador spec sheets, the 905 has the Open Assist feature and Stainless Steel interior whereas the 903 is white inside and does not have the Open Assist feature. Wondering if anyone has experienced service/fail issues with the Open Assist?
