Nightstand or built-in ideas with windows next to bed.

We just bought a house and I'm trying to figure out what to do with the main bedroom. There's a wall that is the obvious spot for a king bed, and there is a window on either side in a bay that's set back a bit from the wall behind the bed. What would you suggest for nightstands? Or I was also thinking about making some type of built-in shelf below each window.

You might find some inspiration here. Generally, bedside pieces should arrive at mattress height, but with Asian influences you might be able to cheat on that a tad.

You have lots of space for nightables and a shelf below the window is not going to serve as a nightstand The only thing you will see from outside is the lamp so not a big deal IMO You could do a nice wide chest type night table with the only thing showing out the window would be the lamps. Then roman shades on the windows

If you did built in's wouldn't they be a bit far from the bed to be functional night stands? Pretty room!
