Much of my MCM furniture has metal tips on the legs. Maybe you could find some to screw into the table legs. Also, can you replace the floor protectors on the chairs with something less high?

Many options for adding feet or extensions to furniture legs are advertised on Etsy. From the photo, it is hard to see the shape of your table's legs where they meet the floor, which makes it hard to point to something that might work, but here are a few examples of potentially useful extenders:

If I located a type of foot that might work, I would find a woodworker or carpenter to do the install. Good luck!

Hard to tell what your legs look like, but putting extensions on them will probably look a little hokey. You may want to see if you can have the table top taken off, strips of stained wood added between the table top and base, then table top put back on.

I would contact a quality carpenter in your area and see if he/she has a suggestion.

Why is the back of the chair supposed to fit under the table? I don't see a problem with the height of the table or chairs.

Raising the table can make it too high for comfortable dinning height. How high is the table now?

Yes, I was wanting to avoid raising the table too high also. Most of the extenders start at 2" which is too high. I was hoping it would be an easy extension I could do but after talking with the Etsy dealers and looking more closely, I think I will need to just put a rug under the table. My goal is to keep the chairs from banging into the side of the table. Hopefully the rug will help keep the chairs from sliding as much, and limit the number of times they bang into the table.

Couldn’t you buy the small squares felt pads and double them on bottom of table legs to raise it! Not sure how noticeable it would be.
