help with shutter color

since the design is a little similar I used this sample house to drop in our colors except our windows are all white . (No comments on mixing brick and stone please lol.)
Our front door is deep brown. I’ve attached our plan also.
What color shutters would look best or should we trim out around the stone windows with brick?
Thanks for your help!

    Nice home.

Would not add shutters downstairs or on any wall with brick or stone.

Would use black shutters upstairs on the single windows in the gable ends.

One exception downstairs might be single window(s) in the exterior wall with white siding rather than brick or stone,

If the shutters don't look like they could close and cover the window, then you don't need them. That would be true for any double windows. On the top house, I see no place appropriate for them. On the numbered plan they need to be wider on all windows, and none should be on the double window far right. Sometimes if you have some shutters and some double windows, a window box can give the right feeling to the double window instead of shutters, but only if you'll keep it planted, watered and looking good. No idea about color except to match to front door.

I think I made this confusing with the two houses. The top house is just to demonstrate our color scheme and where on our house the red brick will go And the white stone will go.

So I need help knowing whether or not to do shutters on the bottom like the plan calls for and if so, what color.

Decoenthusiaste I think you’re saying the space isn’t large enough for appropriate shutters? Would you recommend using brick to trim the windows on each end where the white stone will be?

Jennifer hogan i love shutters but I was feeling like shutters might make it too busy

Exactly. Shutters can be used to add interest when needed, but with the stone and brick I don't think you need another necklace.

+1. House has enough architectural detailing in my opinion. Not a designer though. Take with a grain of salt.

IMO you already have too much going on so no shutters anywhere . Yes I hate mixing stone and brick FYI

Patricia colwell consulting I know many people dislike mixing but I love it! I think the house above showing the red brick and white stone is beautiful. To each his own right? 😊

There's a lot going on, so I would not do shutters. Just me, but I would nix that detail over the front door as well. The door is very pretty and I find those beams distracting.

    Just a thought:

With that floor plan, you'll likely have more natural light if you add skylights to your porch roof,.

We might suggest not adding shutters as your home seems to have a lot going on already. Obviously our design below is not exactly like yours, but we used lots of stone and didn't use shutters.
