I would choose a very simple pale gray tile so it does not compete with your countertop. Your kitchen is lovely!

I would consider a stainless steel tile.

I would keep the tile lighter, not dark gray. I think stainless tile would compete too much with the counter tops.

I think the easiest and possibly nicest idea is to continue the countertops up the wall.

Otherwise here’s a visual on dark vs light backsplash. Not loving it.

I would be bold and select a shiny black tile.

What is that countertop? Very pretty.

@blueskysunnyday it's epoxy, we got a kit from leggari. This one is stone kit #2 I believe, with a matte top coat.

I also agree with a very light silver tile.

Well dang, that is cool. Nice work. I like Patricia’s idea of seamless, back-painted glass in a gray pulled from the countertop colors.

Keep it very simple. The grain and color of the cabinetry are already fighting with the counter and the flooring.
