I asked Matt about it a couple of months ago and he told me it's still up in the air if they'll offer that one or not this coming season. Hard to propagate, I think.

@oursteelers 8B PNW good plan. I ordered mine from HCR last year and they almost didn't have enough stock to send me one. I got a teeny baby, but it definitely took off. Good plan to order from Palantine.

They have such great bareoot roses.

I got mine from Burlington Roses. Own root. Took off like a rocket.

In Portland, both own root and grafted YdA are strong growers. Palatine’s roses generally burst out of the gate for me! If you get grafted, you can always try rooting cuttings later. I‘ve had success with rooting a layered YdA in a garden bed. I imagine that’s NOT a practical solution for nurseries, though. Or maybe Burlington still has YdA in stock? Burling is sending me a couple of hard-to-find goodies this spring. I just have to say that YdA’s fragrance is to die for! Carol

I used to grow Yolande. Nice rose here, vigorous and disease resistant. Mine was own root as well.

It was one of the roses we took out to keep our fire insurance, It kept sending up new baby plantlets from the root fragments left in the ground, so I do not think it would be particularly hard to propagate.
