It looks like poorly caulked nail holes. If it were mine, I’d have the contractor replace or sand and repaint anything that I was not pleased with. The edge of the wood, under the window, badly needs sanding or that piece completely replaced. Your expectations are not too high. These pictures show poor workmanship. I don’t know what the small split is-maybe the caulk shrank?. Call your contractor ASAP!

Your expectations are not high! I agree with Donna Cheek - this is a bad job and needs redoing.

They should be using a sandable spackle for the holes. It looks like they used the factory cut on that window casing , i think they could fill it in and sand it out. Fairly minor and fixable.

Just commented on your other thread. The pictures in this one leave no doubt...very sloppy finish work with lack of attention to detail.

Looks like whoever finished the trim didn't bring any spackle to the job...probably a good thing because, in their hands, spackle would have made a bigger mess.

@gerard g Thank you for your comment. What is a lesser cut? The contractor purchased long pieces (over 12 ft long), and his team cut them. I don't know the tool that was used. This work was part of a major remodel, so I was out of the home while the work was done.

It looks more like they were to lazy or didn’t know better than to cut back the factory cut end if the board.
