How much space is there once you factor in the 48” table and also factor in 4’-6” minimum around it for chairs and circulation?

Would definitely determine how much space you have after your table, chairs and circulation around those would be. It looks like there wouldn't be much space left. So, a bakers rack might not fit. I might also be hesitant to display everyday dishes, etc. My best suggest is artwork. First thought is a bigger sized and bold artwork that has some impact and punch. Otherwise, perhaps a grouping of smaller sized pieces - mostly paintings or framed photos. Might also suggest some narrow shelving that could hold smaller 3D pieces. Good luck!

I agree to skip the shelves and baking nook.

I’d probably do a pretty wallpaper.
And maybe some thick curtains.

Thanks so much for all your input! i’ll Definitely hold off on a bakers rack until table & chairs are placed to assure space isnt tight- now that i think about it-I wouldnt want nook area to be constricting.

-I like the idea of perhaps a rug under table to warm up the space & maybe a large piece of framed art for the wall rather than this bakers rack or shelves. I do have plenty of cabinet space with both solid door as well as glass doors.

first put the table, then a light, you might find that is all you need. The view is a picture in itself.

Maybe a wall sconce to coordinate with whatever ceiling light you choose.

I would create breakfast nook with bamboo blinds and wall art.

Ooohhh i love your table & art on wall renditions here Celery Visual…Only thing that would be a no go are the blinds-we have a gorgeous view from our kitchen where privacy or brite sun are not issues. Would love to find a table like that! so darn hard to find! thanks again- I really appreciate!

I would put window seating/or bench with table and 2 chairs for breakfast nook w/ rug.

As others have said, comfy seating, tulip table, window dressings and stunning chandelier are all that is needed. If the wall still looks naked, get some artwork.

If covering the windows isn’t a concern, I’d do floor-to-ceiling non-functional drapes on either side (lose the big clock) in a beautiful fabric to draw people’s eyes to the view. Round table with a light fixture that’s substantial but not obstructive. Add chairs and a rug and you’re done. No need for artwork if the view is the star.

My space is roughly the same as yours. This is what I did.

I have a similar window in my kitchen. After the reno, I had Roman blinds made from a cotton print in taupe tones to blend with the kitchen. The print added interest, while new coloured toaster and canisters added colour accents.

I like Celery's visualization of the space in proportion and style which seems to coordinate with the decor you have (stool we can see).

I have a large wall and my kitchen and I bought a shower curtain with a single graphic ( mine was a tree). I stretched it over wooden frame (5x4 feet) and it looks great.

I hung ombre white/teal sheer drapes just on the sides of each of my bay windows with decorative rods for visual interest and to add a pop of color. They come in various colors including neutrals.

I agree with the previous comments . See what the space is like once you have table , chairs and light fixture . I think a large piece of art would work well.

Table first. I'd probably put the giant clock on that wall so it can be seen from the kitchen. But then I like clocks.

It looks like you might be able to do a small table there with some artwork and a lovely chandelier. Here are some ideas for you that might help you move forward from your dilemma.
