Paint the door and surround a darker gray than your trim.

Paint/stain the post and steps the gray of the trim. Beef up the posts...too narrow.

I would've said, "Red, always red." But you've gone a step further and made the HOUSE red. So I'm gonna say black looks great with red, and it will provide a contrast from that nice stone.

A nice soft gray green

I would match the color from the brownish gray of the roof, to keep it cohesive. Once its all done, then add colorful furniture, and pots of flowers to the porch. Something in blues, greens, teals, etc.

I think SW Urbane Bronze would look nice with the existing colors.

I like the mustard color it is currently. If you're going to go dark, I'd match the roof color. some of those grays look like they clash to me.

I like the golden color you have, or a version of it, but I would paint the white trim around your door and sidelights the same color as the door. I like the pop of color. Sorry but I’m over gray. I also like the green someone else suggested but the main thing is paint that white trim the same as what you choose.

I would paint the door and frame a slightly darker red or stain it mahogany would look richer if it is a wood door and the porch posts a grey/brown to match the stone. Having the red or mahogany color will ground the house and still keep a natural look and make the house cohesive. Stain if possible with a good sealer which they make now for the richest look!

The dark gray someone pictured above looks okay, but to me most of the gray/black colors fade into the stone and make the whole front door area disappear. I would think you would want the door to stand out more. I would go a lighter color such as a light sky blue. Angelic Blue 5003-9B Color Chip | Valspar

I have a similar color on my house and just painted the exterior doors SW Iron Ore and I love it

Depending on your taste but teal is opposite on red colorwheel so i think these colors would work well .. subtle or bold would be your choice !

This is my absolute favourite colour combo on houses. I know this “ Sandy hook” colour is referring to siding and the door red but wondering if it would work

Dark grey is the best choice (trim & door) for a more chic and classic look. Take of all the accessories on the balcony. Keep only two sort of topiary with greenery.

Hi Ashley. I'm with you on the color combination with the Sandy Hook color scheme. The Sandy Hook color comes out in your stone as best I can tell from your photo. So the dark grays, i.e., Charcoal, Urbane Bronze, Iron Ore, etc. (door and trim) would make the door pop and compliment the stone and red siding. Someone mentioned larger support posts for the porch and I agree. The current ones almost look like temporary posts. They need to be more substantial and maybe add corner corbels, too. Depending on the look you're going for, have 1/2 or 3/4 posts set on a matching stone base. Personally I would have the posts in white to match the window trim and not compete with the front door, but rather visually frame the front porch and door. I like your boldness in choosing to paint the siding the red color with gray metal roofing. Very appealing! Would be nice to see photos once you've decided and completed the work. :-)

Go with what YOU Love!! If you want the Sandy Hook Gray to be incorporated with the colours of your house go for it on the front door. That said, it obviously will blend into the house and not be as much of a "pop". But if you want more of a pop my opinion would be a darker charcoal gray than the trim, enough of a contrast to have it stand out. Good luck!!

I always love an olive tone with a rusty red. Great red BTW!

So many good choices, suggestions and ideas. But Remember, dont try to make your home look like anyone elses around you. It is very artistic and unique. and important that your style (tastes) pleases you.

Whatever you do paint that white trim around the door the same color as the door---too choppy.

Your house looks more craftsman than country. Especially the design on the windows in the door and sidelights. That said, if the doors and sidelights are wood, I’d rather see the paint stripped and just stain the door a nice medium to dark stain. If they are not wood and need to be painted, I’d go with an olive green, but I actually like the yellow they are now and you could even go more into a mustard. The trim should not be painted to match the door unless you also paint the trim around all the windows. The window trim currently matches the trim around the door, which looks fine IMO. I’d even say strip and stain the window trim if that’s what you do with the door. Just my two cents. Hope you find a solution that you LOVE! Good luck!

Hi Ashley, I always consider Feng shui and use a compass to figure out the door direction. You can find a compass app for your phone. Then use google to search that results for Feng shui front door and get the list of colors suggested to bring in good chi to your home. Usually you will have five or more color choices plus wood stain and you will be happy with something on the list. The good chi that follows will be worth the effort. All the best.

I like the grey also - with the trimmed painted out also. Too many "collectibles" on the porch. Looks too much like a roadside "antiques" shop. Try instead a couple of large planters filled with seasonal items. The "formula" for large planters is tall grass, something to fill, and a vine-like plant to spill over the edge. Search for containers and planters. Topiary is too formal. As an alternate try a pair of evergreen shrubs in large containers. such as boxwood, with seasonal annuals around the base. The bright colors of the annuals - mums, pansies, etc., will pop out against the grey and the dark red.

Or big bushy ferns on either side of the steps.
