Not a pro - but I think with the island color and wood and adjoining room color and door color that you'd be better off painting it the same color as the trim in a different sheen.

We tried. With the white cabinets, white ceilings and the huge windows, it was too white. I love the contrasting beige…I just can’t live with pink undertones and need a true beige/tan that will live in a room with tons of natural light.

I don't use SW so I can't give you specific advice, but I think if you ask at the paint store they should be able to help you. SW has company stores - see if there is one near you instead of going to a generic hardware or big box store. You need someone who can look at the formulas to see what the undertone is. I know in Benjamin Moore Manchester Tan would fit the bill, but I don't know if that would be too dark for you.

Looking that up now. Do you know if it shows pink? I don’t mind it being darker because there is very little actual wall space.

I recently tried BM Manchester Tan in my bedroom that has west and north exposures. It did not look pink at all. I went with a different color (close to Accessible Beige) because I wanted some gray, but since I sampled it I can tell you it is one of the truest tans I have ever seen. In one room in my old house I tried ten different beiges before ending up using a pale yellow so I am very familiar with the undertones. They can drive you crazy. Some beiges have green undertones.

Absolutely gorgeous and great suggestions. I’d not thought of doing the door same color as the island. The brassy color door was an afterthought. It is the same color as our front door and flows on the outside. It goes perfectly with my window seat cushions. I also painted one shelf and the desk chair the same. My kitchen is huge, 32’ long! Between the windows and the wall cabinets, there is very little actual wall space. There is a pocket door between the kitchen and bedroom so you normally do not see that blue. I will try the China white on one wall, but am thinking a tan/beige would tie in with the hood and chestnut island top. More pics.

What is about Accessible Beige SW? It is light shade of brown goes good with your island top.

I am sorry but there is no such thing as a crisp beige it is by it's nature not crisp like white s can be. Why beige at all IMO that kitchen has no things that are crying out for beige at all In fact beige would be the last color I would use in a kitchen that already has white, black and teal none of which work well with beige.

I would not worry about making your trim pop, I would go with something more on the creamy side if you want a crisp look. You could use the color of your cabinets or just choose a nice off white cream color. Your door would look great using the island color.

In my former kitchen we did the island color on the opposite wall. I wonder how it would look if you did your island color just on the little bit of wall you have around the window area and the rest of the room in the color of your kitchen cabinets?

My wall and ceiling color is SW Accessible Beige and the island and wall color are same although it does not look the same in the phots.

Oh that’s nice!! I am definitely looking at accessible beige but open to white walls. My kitchen is so large, I was trying to make it more warm and inviting. We live in a very old house and kitchen opens up to gardens, which is why I chose the flowered fabric.

For instance: Love this fabric for your bench/island cushions and then use the background color as your paint choice. It‘s a good way to tie a room together.

Wow!!! I love that fabric. The rug is perfect! The beige in the fabric background was exactly why I have been thinking beige walks. The inspiration for the cushion fabric was bringing my outdoors in. I also have two Scotties that jump love the window seat. They also bring the outdoors in…on their paws. Could not go too light with the fabric.
