I'm confused -- it looks like everything is tiled! What amount more do you need? if you need just a little, I'd try to take off everything above the top shelf, which seems excessive. If you were hoping to continue something over the others section of counter, I just wouldn't.

There's kind of a lot going on here, with two (three?) colors of cabinets, two colors of counter, two types of tile, and two colors of paint. Try to simplify wherever you can going forward!

Thank you, The original plan was to take the tile on the white shelves all the way up to the ceiling. For now we will just finish the paint, but I do like your idea of taking off all the tile above the top shelf. Yes there are 3 wood colors and two counter colors. I think our designer wanted to set the peninsula apart -it is even a little bit raised which is unconventional. I can't decide if it is cool or just to much. If we replace the counter we would need to replace the entire section which is doable but of course $$$. I can check with the cabinet builder and see if we can restain the base of the peninsula to the walnut kind of color too,

I hope you can work with what you have to finish like mentioned above. The peninsula looks like an after thought add on and raising it just slightly higher seems odd.

There was just a small batch of granite out of the original so had to turn it against the grain-sigh-but all in all much better than the black.
