n2 - I thought I would get around to dividing my June, which has a Halcyon springing up in the center of it. But the summer/fall got away from me. So I will plan to do it this spring as soon as it has enough development that I can clearly see where to divide. If you'd like some of June and the Halcyon, you're welcome to them. I already have 2 Halcyons (and honestly, they're probably my favorite hosta). But I may have some others to share... the garden is in need of some 'editing.'

I'm not really making a list this year. I think I'm running out of room... but I'll wait and see what we have at the club sale, you never know. I'd still like to add a couple more streakers to the garden, so whenever Norther Grown Perennials comes out with their spring list I may break down and order a couple

I got more garden space down by the creek, that was modified by the golf course behind me. I had to get persuasive to repair my damaged land. But I did and they did. :)

So the two you gave me in spring time, are now in a japanese styled garden in front. The Japanese maple had to be moved there and for Christmas I am getting a small japanese style garden lantern.

I've looked around a little but with space constraints and a bunch already in pots I have no plans to shop this winter. Other than a few of Hostamaker's new introductions (which I can't find (yet)) I'm not sure there's much to tempt me. I did already throw some in a cart for practice but haven't pulled the trigger (yet). Hopefully, I can visit some Hosta nurseries this year and buy a few in person.

The "important" list huh? I've been chipping away at an ever growing list for a few years now but still need to clear and prepare more bed area. I really prefer to see what I'm getting from local nurseries but the choices are limited. A couple importants are actually replacements.

I see a common thread... we like to fall in love in person with our hosta.

I am willing to travel to find what I like BUT the driver likes to drive a corvette ...lol... sometimes our interests don't aid the other.... But really I have no complaints...I ride in style...

I have a wish list, and am always tempted by a sale, but haven't actually ordered any for a long time. I, too, love to see the hosta in person rather than do mail order. But when you have a lot of hosta, there isn't much that local nurseries often offer---except maybe a few new ones.

Just like the others, I need to make room for more. That means I actually have to divide or remove what I already have. And it's hard for me to do that because I love all my plants---well, most of them anyways. But my current plan is to sell some. Hoping that my area will be able to make their annual garage sale in May. That used to bring in a lot of people precovid. I would put out some plants and they would be gone in no time.

I could have written this! It's very hard not to shop for more.

My hoarding tendencies are starting to take the joy out of gardening, so I am trying to be good for 2022. I don’t want to feel stress every time I go outside and try to figure out what I am going to do with all these plants.
So, my list this year is as follows: Giantland Blue Banana, Spinach Soufflé, Hudson Bay, and Penny Lane.

I have pilled the trigger—- MRG, 2 Cupitini, 2 Montana Aureomarginata (been admiring this for a while now), 2 Pandora’s Box, 2 Pineapple Upsidedown, 2 Heuchera Mint Frost annnnnnd, 1 Etched glass. I bought 2 of many because I want to possibly plant 2 together for a larger plant at first.

I am looking for Amalia, but have not seen it anywhere yet…..😕

You guys said it all - enough is enough. I'm up to about 450 varieties. I have a new spot where I exterminated a jungle of honeysuckle, and some of the giants are moving there. Something will have to fill the holes, but I'm cutting back. Besides, I'm planning on going to the national convention - have to leave space for impulse buys.

I am hunting for a new Goodness Gracious. Mine lived through the treatment for Bacterial soft Rot, but all the leaves are distorted.

If you get Amalia, give it a LOT of room. Mine is about 5 ft. across and crowding out everything around it, and it's only 5 or 6 years old.

Ok. Last year the first order arrived on 4/5/21. That is only 8 weeks away! Hooray!

Oh well, I missed the excitement of winter ordering. Replacing few that did not make it I added Big performer. It suppose to be similar to War Paint in behavior. Since I seems to have trouble getting War Paint going for me am hoping this one will do the job.
