I’ve never seen one of these but I’d go in a Schefflera direction. As to the species there are lots and I know nothing about them. Rhododendrifolia??? taiwanensis???

It's a Schefflera, but not either of the two species you mentioned. Taiwaniana and rhododendrifolia have wider leaves, and rhodentrifolia can sometimes have lobed leaves. Native to China?🤔

Pan Global plants, Frampton on Severn, Rick.

I have a friend who lives on a boat near Frampton. But she doesn't have room for houseplants....

Pan Global lists several Schefflera, many of which are as yet unidentified. Which one is this?

Schefflera bodinieri. The most beautiful of them all, imo. It kind of has a bamboo vibe going on. Named after Bodinier, a French botanist, and priest, so the epithet is no help. I did searches and found it to be rarely mentioned or shown online, unless you actually know the name. To me the leaves look much longer than any of the other species. This species is not available anywhere online except PGP AFAIK. They have unidentified species? That's interesting. Are the noids being studied? I need to go look at their website again.

Very cool. Jay, how did it come to your attention? Per a quick online search there is this photo from the JCRA of a plant apparently growing outside in Par (Cornwall) England. I would assume its owners obtained it from PGP.

I wonder if Mike could grow his outside? Southbourne is on the coast, like Par.

He does grow a lot of plants outside. Not sure about the Schefflera.

Mike moves many potted tropicals to the outside, when it's warm enough, and then back into the garage or house, when the temps dip. What kind of soil do you have in your area floral? Is it chalky?

My area is on limestone rather than chalk.
