Ideas for master bathroom remodel

Any suggestions for restructuring this space? We’re wanting to update, but I hate to do anything without getting the layout right.
Wants:
-Larger shower
-Water closet
-Keep (get new) jetted tub *maybe

(there’s a slight chance I could sell my husband on a freestanding hot tub outside instead)

The easiest approach seems to be going with a smaller tub (just losing the surround), and extending shower however much is feasible.
The existing tub is a 5’ corner, with an extra foot -total- of surround (4” along the walls, and 8” on other sides).
But I’m open to rerouting pipes and busting up some concrete -though I’m not crystal clear, I know drains in concrete are a big deal.
Also open to getting rid of one or both windows behind tub -though again, not sure how feasible that is.

Photos of the bath, please. How about a WIS where the linen closet and window are? Could use the pluming for the left side sink and slide the sink install down to the corner window area.

IMO if you don't use a tub in the master bath don't have one and I love a hot tub so that would be my choice if you do not bath often. If you have a tub in another bathroom and you shower all the time remove the tub and rework the layout to provide a nice large shower .I think the windows are awesome for natural light so maybe plan the vanity in that space with mirrors like this.If you move the vanity down then you would have space for a nice shower at the that left end .I think what is really needed is a rework of the whole bathroom closet space so maybe post a floor plan of the master bedroom , closet and bathroom use graph paper make sure all meaurements are clearly marked and those windows with the height from the floor and also some clue as to budget .

The toilet is the primary problem. First get the feasibility and cost of turning the toilet - such that the new tank would be against the outside wall. If that can be done, eliminating the current shower gives you a new WC closet. Now you can build a spacious shower in place of the tub. Replace the current tub windows with clerestory ones. A small exterior hot tub will be so much deeper and more comfortable than the awkward corner tub (tempt him with extra jets).

Do you have 3 closets? Two accessible from the bathroom and the other from the other room? I would rip out the 2 that protrude into the bathroom and repurpose that space, possibly for a large glass shower. Imagine how much larger the room would look without those closet walls and without those enormous shower walls.

Leave the windows. Keep tub as is, or get a freestanding one, maybe round, centered on the windows. Build 7 ft. vanity just inside door along bottom wall. Move toilet to upper left corner. Build larger shower opposite door, with solid wall adjacent toilet and two glass walls on front and side adjacent tub.
