Suggestions on what else to do for this bedroom

Hey guys!
Just wanted to ask for any ideas on finishing touches for this room. Anything you guys will suggest, I can customize so don’t worry about the dimensions. For some context, I love neutral colors. My favorite room aesthetic is typically between industrial, contemporary and scandi. Ideas on organization? What kind of storage units to use? Where to put them? Paint color? Rugs? Extra seating maybe? Any suggestion really. I’m only asking for ideas. Thank you so much for your time ❤️ Happy New Years~!

Nice fishing expedition. I see you have a cat which explains all the hanging plants, but does not explain the likelihood of the others not getting trashed.

And this answers the OP’s question how?

Is there no other spot for the calendar? So you could put up some lovely artwork over the bed? Otherwise the room seems pretty well split for work and play.

IMO we need a lot more info and the cat does figure into the space . I need to know how old you are your sex and is this part of your own home or just one room.First those knotted drapes need to go but after that in need info. BTW we do need a to scale floor plan unless of course you are knocking out walls and then we need the plan for the new space . The post iis too vague IMO .

That's a busy room! I think the plant on the little stool on the floor is just clutter and eventually will be kicked over. I would definitely take it away as you already have a couple plants. I don't know how you'd do it, but it needs a stool or chair so 2 people can sit and chat. As it is, there is no room for a visitor to the room. However, it seems so full, not sure how you'd do it. The two items hanging from the drape rod, take those down. Just adds to visual clutter.

Need more info. from the looks of it, it appears this is your only private space. is this a roommate situation? do you have a living room?

I like the bedding and curtains. but I don't like the curtains knotted. it that because of the cat? I’m sure if he could talk, the cat would tell you he would prefer his perch be in front of a sunny window rather than a dark corner.

I think you have been creative with what you have. To visually simplify I’d suggest taking down the items over the bed (on both walls) and create one mural wall where the wall hanging is. Your eye needs to find spots to rest. I’d suggest a tall plant stand for the plant on the floor and also put the cat perch by the window like auntthelma suggested. You might be able to put a lounge chair in front of it. I’d also unclump the tied drapes and either remove entirely or hang at sides. I’d imagine during the day you’d like the most light possible in the room - I’m sure the cat would.

Keep color scheme as it suits your stated styles. I’d remove everything other than furniture (which looks like it’s in best locations), so you are able to see room with fresh eyes. Edit/box up items that you don’t need, as room is really busy (especially window treatment and add a simple blind).

When reintroducing things, consider what/how and you can add boxes to hide small items. Balance practical with visual.

I’d also reduce the plants (remove all from ceiling).

Place cat tower by window. If space allows, add a chair like below nearby.

Finally, rethink bedding and wall art and try Ikea.

Replace the scratching post with this one, and put it in front of the window:

And if your cats likes to perch up high, buy this to put on top:

I’m bought storage containers to store my books and stuff but it’s still coming in the mail. So, for the meantime, my room will look like this. Hope it’s not too much of an eye sore. If it is, I’m sorry I can’t do anything about it for now 🤷🏻‍♀️

There is still a lot going on but one of the reasons is those mirrored closet doors. They essentially double the visual clutter of the room. Would you consider replacing those with non-mirrored doors?

Maybe if you answer the questions we have asked we can be a more help.
