Windows - Need Help! - New Construction

Upcoming addition and looking for good quality, with price as a relative consideration, new construction windows. Wood-clad, double-hung and/or casement. Currently have Jeld-Wen double hung wood-clad windows that were here before moving in and they seem to be fine. Our house was renovated 7 yrs ago. Mid-Atlantic/Northeast location.

Brands that have popped up in my search:

  • Jeld-Wen (contractor mentioned Siteline)
  • Marvin
  • Andersen (architect mentioned 400s)
  • Simonton

Suggestions? Major reasons to avoid a particular brand or model? Thanks!
