We all have different preferences, but I would HATE the tiny shower in your layout. I've showered in spaces that small and they are cramped and elbow-bumping.

Your architect has drawn up the standard, tried-and-true layout for the standard 5'x8' bathroom. It's the most efficient way to go.

Do you want more vanity space for storage reasons or countertop reasons? There would be other ways to solve those without cutting your shower nearly in half.

First architects are usually terrible at interior design of both kitchens and bathrooms so now you need a both designers to get the best form the space Is the toilet all ready in the plumbed space or can that change moving toilets is a big deal To me that is tight space and the entry part is a waste of space maybe the closet needs to be somwhere else and honestly way too small anyway. Can you post a to scale plan of the bedroom and bathroom space I am pretty sure someone can come up with a better plan but we need a to scale floor plan shoing all windows doorways where the doorways lead and all measurements clearly marked
