Is statement marble trendy or timeless?

I realize that statement marble can be both a current thing and timeless. (Yes, I'm clear on all the cons of marble, but we are fine with them.) I am hoping to choose things that we love that will stand the test of time, and I am hoping to not just be influenced by trends. What do you think of an Arabescato washstand for the powder and Calacatta countertops in the kitchen? Do they strike you as classic choices?

yes, beautiful choices.

I did calacatta on my island. (and my backsplash) just know that you will get etching. I use a cutting board all the time, but the other two people arent as careful. Still looks beautiful though!

this is a classic. don't know how these people keep this sink clean and beautiful looking, but it sure is pretty.

you could mix countertops

this will stand up through every trend. The cabinet design however, that's another matter.

Project 20 years into the future and decide if the application will withstand the test of time. Some of the marble will be classic and timeless but marble that is too wild in color and pattern will probably not last changing tastes.

I think Carrera has proven itself already to be timeless.

In small doses, it is classic and timeless, but if you go overboard with it, it can become overwhelming.

Marble is timeless but everyone should be judicious about its use. Heavily veined marble can be distracting and detract from an overall look IMO. The more lightly veined marbles can provide a more serene look for a room.

The washstand is gorgeous. I’d go with a simpler marble in the kitchen.
